The real psychological personality of a person is known as the 'self' of a person. Every one of us has a hidden self within us, but we are not familiar with it. A human being believes that it is his consciousness that lead his actions. In reality, our inner self guides our behavior in our everyday life. This self is constructed and undergoes transformation with the passage of time as we experience new things. Ego also develops a part of our inner self. It makes us fight for our own identity in the world. It stresses on an individual existence of a human being divided from others. This will cause a person to become proud and selfish. He will ignore certain facts, which will be an obstacle in his self awareness and in this manner degrading his self development.

Self-healing add on to the energy level of a person and also aids in curing disorders like insomnia, aches, depression, and a variety of physical and mental ailments.  Meditation and yoga are some of the other ways that helps a person in the realization of a higher self.   

Meditation is a process of healing that can help a person to think above his own individuality and think for the development of humanity all together.  It is a three way process that works throughout self regulation, self exploration and self liberation.  It will help us in keeping a watch over our animal desires and progresses our concentration.  This gives us our potential by means of various exercises and strengthens our character.  It will lead us to a spiritual realization and bridges the gap between our real and true self.  Furthermore, by making we realize our mistakes and weaknesses it brings regarding a transformation in our personality.  Last but not the least, it discloses to us the truth of life and death and contributes in one's process of self-healing.  Yoga, alternatively, assists in achieving the tranquility of mind.  It will provide us with relaxation and decreases stress that helps in self-healing.   

Self love is a process of conversion of our inner self.  Everybody has the desire that the thing or the individual he loves should always be perfect.  For that reason, if a person will love himself then, without a doubt, he will make all the efforts to convert and develop himself and be a better person.  'Reiki' is a process that helps in self-healing.  The person expert in this particular process could heal any diseases whether physical or mental and thus by its vibes cures an individual and leads to self-healing of his inner-self.  As a result, a lot of methods help in self-healing people just needs to make efforts for the same.
